Phil's Biography

Phil Chu learned to program on an Apple II in Iowa and later received his SB in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT in 1988 and an MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins in 1993. He spent seven years working in research and development environments including the Space Telescope Science Institute, MIT and BBN, then spent seven years working at startups in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley targeting computer graphics, mobile internet and video games. Phil is now running his own software development and consulting firm, specializing in game development. He's currently working on iPhone games (Fugu Games and HyperBowl) and a virtual world called Blue Mars.
